The Ludlow Historical Research Group was formed in 1976 with the object of researching the town of Ludlow and the surrounding area.
It is now a research arm of the Friends of Ludlow Museum.
Members have access to a variety of historical documents and publications as well as many photographs from the 19th century onwards.
The Group attracts individuals of all ages and abilities. Whilst its ranks include qualified historians, many members are enthusiastic amateurs who wish to pursue a particular interest.
This process is the first step along a road that may culminate in the publication of a pamphlet or book, for which the Group is financially responsible.
